4. Should I hold my blood thinner for biopsy/gold seeds?
First check with your primary care physician to see if it is ok to come off the blood thinner for the test. Aspirin should be held 7 days prior to the biopsy/gold seeds. Plavix, coumadin and lovenox check with your urologist on when to stop taking it.
5. I feel like I have a urinary tract infection what should I do?
Please call the office and contact one of our clinical staff members to discuss your symptoms. They will most likely have you come in, to drop off a urine sample for a urine culture and start you on the appropriate antibiotic for your infection.
6. Do I need to give a urine speciman at my visit?
If you are a new patient with any kind of urinary complaint you will need to give a urine sample in the office. Other new patients may or may not need to give a urine sample depending on actual complaint.
